Gameplay Points (GPP) are a soft currency awarded automatically to online characters at a fixed real-time interval. GPP is the spend currency for champion-spawn idol activation, the Gameplay Rewards destination on the Public Moongate, and any vendor or raffle stone configured to accept it.
Every 4 hours of online time, each character with a Perks record receives Gameplay Points:
| Condition | Points per tick |
|---|---|
| Base award (any online player) | 1 |
| Better Gameplay Rewards perk active | +3 (4 total per tick) |
| New character (within 7 days of creation) | +1 bonus |
When the new-character bonus applies, you also see: “You've earned an additional gameplay point, just for being a new player at Sosaria!”
After each tick the character receives: “You Have N Gameplay Point(s)”
Type either command in-game to see your current balance:
[gpp[gameplaypointsThe system responds with “You have N gameplay points.”
The Better Gameplay Rewards perk triples your accrual rate (3 extra points per tick) while active. Duration is tracked as an expiry timestamp. Using a Perk Deed while the perk is inactive sets a fresh expiry; using one while it is already active stacks the duration onto the existing expiry.
Confirmed sources of Perk Deeds granting Better Gameplay Rewards:
| Source | Cost / Drop | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Demigod-tier random dungeon bosses | 1–3 random Perk Deeds per kill | 1–2 hours each |
| Perk Deed Vendor Stone | 10 Sosarian Dollars (Sosarian Coins) | 30 days |
| Donation Rewards | 50 donation credits | +24 hours |
| Donation Rewards | 200 donation credits | +7 days |
| Gold Vendor Stone | varies | 1 hour |
| Random Perk Deed rolls | drop-dependent | varies |
Random Perk Deed roll behavior (the deed itself can come from various drops): Better Gameplay Rewards is the outcome on roll cases 5 and 7, on case 2 with 50% probability (vs. Better Loot), and on case 11 with 99.5% probability (vs. Move While Casting). It is also the fall-through default outcome.
Non-demigod dungeon bosses, treasure-map chests, standard champion spawns, and standard monsters do not drop Perk Deeds.
Perk Deeds may be stored in the Perk Codex storage key.
Double-click the Idol of the Champion at an inactive public champion spawn to open the activation gump:
| Map type | Cost | Prompt |
|---|---|---|
| Standard map | 1 GPP | “Pay 1 gameplay point to activate the spawn?” |
| Desolate map | 10 GPP | “Pay 10 gameplay points to activate the spawn?” |
On successful activation, the spawn becomes active with a 3-hour expire delay. If another player activates the spawn between your confirmation and the activation step, your points are refunded in full.
Instance (private) champion spawns skip the gump entirely and cost no Gameplay Points. The spawn type that begins is whichever type is stored on the idol; if the spawn is set to randomize its type, the reroll happens on the next restart, not on activation.
Vendor stones may be configured to accept Gameplay Points as currency. When they do, the item's label shows:
“Price: N Gameplay Points / Target With \”[Purchase\“ Command”
To buy, target the item with the [Purchase command:
Currency-label priority on stones that could in theory carry multiple currencies follows the order: Daily > Referral > PvM > Gameplay > Gold > Sosarian Dollars.
Limited-stock stones block further purchases once their sold count reaches the limit. While stock remains, the stone displays “Limited Item: x/N Sold”.
Raffle stones use the same Gameplay Points purchase flow, debiting the configured price per entry.
The Public Moongate menu has a destination called “Gameplay Rewards” that takes you to coordinates (6265, 1835, 0) on Trammel. This is the in-world location of the GPP-currency vendor stones described above. There is no separate gump or fixed stock list — what is available depends on what staff have placed on the stones.
Your Gameplay Points balance and Better Gameplay Rewards expiry are saved on your character. New characters start with 0 Gameplay Points and the Better Gameplay Rewards perk inactive (expiry set to one hour in the past).
